Building mental toughness

“ If you think you can or you think you cannot you are probably right” Henry Ford.

I love this quote.

I am always struck by ancient explorers whom without the use of todays google maps (:-))  circumnavigated the globe, found their way back to base camp and numerous other success stories we can all recall where people simply overcame all odds.

What can seem daunting -(fill in your own blank) -  #LaBola #mallorca( for me at the time ) for example - is simply a case of putting one foot in front of the other- that was my personal chant as I ground my way up the mountain.

What ever you choose you to do - choose to push yourself - even if you feel like you may not make it - make up your mind that you will. Envisage crossing the finish line and what it will feel like.

These sports events are a great way of putting lifes challenges into perspective and whilst most of the time some of us may feel like we are not ready or not trained enough- do them anyway- it makes you appreciate what other things you may be cable of doing that perhaps you thought you could not.

Next year I know what to expect and I have something to definitely beat!
